In manufacturing and warehousing facilities, high bays and low bays are still among the most reliable and popular industrial lighting fixtures.  They have always been a mainstay for large operations as both general light sources and industrial task light sources.

Foyer lights, which illuminate the front interior entrances of buildings, and general office lights, which can illuminate anything from offices to hallways to restrooms. 

In order to justify your investment in top-grade commercial equipment, there are certain attributes that we recommend you consider absolutely mandatory.  If you are lighting an indoor facility that has a great deal of vehicle traffic in a low-ceiling environment, or if you are accessing palletized materials with vertical lifts, it might be well worth your money to invest in a wire cage design. 

This simple, yet highly effective design prevents accidental impacts from shattering glass lenses.

For outdoor industrial lighting fixtures, by far the most important attribute you need to be willing to invest in is high-quality reflectors.  Without superior reflectors, both the intensity and range of the beam will fall short of desired foot candle levels. 

Another must-have attribute that should be sought in in both indoor and outdoor lights is fast start pulse capability.   It is both an energy saver and a time saver for everything ranging from bay lights to flood lights.   

It is also worth noting that many cities are now beginning to require specific lumens per watt energy rating to reduce the carbon footprint of their urban areas.  Ideally, it is always wise to invest in the latest and greatest energy efficient technology for two reasons. 

For one thing, you do not want to have to replace them again due to a change in regulation.  Secondly, you do not want to pay more for operating costs when something better can actually return your investment by lowering your power bills.

One of the best examples of how RLLD industrial lighting fixtures will save money for factories and warehouses is the example of high bay relamping.  Typically, this type of repair must be contracted out because lamps that must be replaced reside at high elevations above the warehouse or factory floor. 

This, of course, costs an organization a per-hour labor rate.  Such costs can be reduced by installing high performance bulbs in high bays that will make them last longer and therefore cause such costly relamping to impact your operations budget much less frequently.
