Goseneck lighting is a type of lighting that is primarily used for business building lighting and commercial sign lighting.

For monumentation, gooseneck lighting can be placed at the top or bottom of the monument.  Again, this is all about the look the business wants to create.  The only rule that is absolute is that the arm of the fixture should never obscure the sign.  Instead, its visible presences must compliment the monument and shine the light onto the lettering from the optimal angle of incidence prescribed by the photometric design.
